Problems with 1746-IA4: FAULT LED on or program lost
An SLC 500 or PLC-5 with the FAULT LED on is in fault (fault code in status file S:6); flashing means a fault that occurred at start-up. A flat battery (BATT LED) erases the program on a power loss: replace the battery with the supply on and keep the program in an EEPROM module or as a file in RSLogix 500/5. Without a backup an erased program cannot be recovered.
What do I check when replacing a 1746-IA4?
