The S5-95U combines CPU, power supply and on-board inputs and outputs in one unit and is programmed with STEP 5; via the PROFIBUS interface this version works as a slave or master in a SINEC L2 network and can be extended with modules from the S5-100U range. When replacing, carry over the memory submodule with the program from the old unit or load the program from a backup, carry over the wiring of the input and output terminals and the PROFIBUS connection, set the bus address to the same value and fit the backup battery before switching on.
