Faults and fixes 6SN1135-1BA12-0EA0
Problems with 6SN1135-1BA12-0EA0: red LED on the I/R module, no DC-link voltage
On SIMODRIVE 611 the infeed/regenerative module (I/R, UI) builds up the 600 V DC link. A red LED on that module means a fault: mains or a phase missing, the enables on terminals 63 (pulse enable), 64 (controller enable) and 48 (line contactor) absent, or the module itself defective. Check mains and enables first; without the DC link every axis module reports a fault.
6SN1135-1BA12-0EA0: alarm 300xxx on the SINUMERIK or fault number on the 611U display
The 300xxx alarms of the 840D/810D belong to the 611D drive and name the axis and the cause (encoder, current, temperature, enable). On the 611U the fault number is on the drive's display. Note alarm, axis and the moment (at power-up, on enable, under load): that is what separates a cable or encoder fault from a defective module.
What do I check when replacing a 6SN1135-1BA12-0EA0?
On 611 modules the full order number counts: current, number of axes and the control board (611A, 611D, 611U) must be identical. Carry over the control board on 611D and the parameter set on 611U. Check the DC-link bars and the device-bus ribbon cable; a poor bus connection gives the same alarms as a defective module.
Fault not fixed: replace, exchange or repair the 6SN1135-1BA12-0EA0?
Replacing from stock is the fastest route when a machine is down. Van Haelen supplies the 6SN1135-1BA12-0EA0 refurbished: tested to this family's test protocol, with a test report per serial number, with a 24-month warranty. The current lead time is shown with the condition on this page. Prefer an exchange: you get a refurbished unit straight away and return the faulty one within 14 days. Repairing your own unit is also possible: diagnosis, then a fixed price.
What information should I send for a quick diagnosis?
A photo of the rating plate (order number, product version, firmware), the exact fault code or LED state, when the fault occurs (at power-up, on enable, under load) and what you have already tried. For PLCs an export of the diagnostic buffer, for drives the parameter set. With that we can usually say the same day whether replacing, exchanging or repairing is best.
