Documentation from the manufacturer
Faults and fixes A06B-0752-B304-NUM-3000
Problems with A06B-0752-B304-NUM-3000: servo alarm 401, 414 or a code on the amplifier
On FANUC, alarm 401 means the servo amplifier does not report ready (V-ready off): power supply module, emergency-stop circuit, MCC or a defective amplifier. Alarm 414 is a digital servo fault whose details are in the servo diagnostics. The amplifiers show a code on their 7-segment display; note that code and the axis before replacing anything, then motor, cable and amplifier can be told apart.
A06B-0752-B304-NUM-3000: alarm 300 to 308, absolute encoder battery
The 300 series are APC alarms of the absolute encoders: a flat battery in the amplifier or the battery case erases the axis position, after which the axes must be re-referenced. Replace the batteries with the control switched on. The CNC itself has a separate battery for parameters and programs; the BAT message on the screen belongs to that.
What do I check when replacing a A06B-0752-B304-NUM-3000?
On FANUC the full number including version counts (for instance A06B-xxxx-Hxxx): current, number of axes and interface must be identical. First make a complete CNC backup (parameters, PMC, programs) and note the servo parameters of the axis involved. Boards (A16B, A20B) are best replaced by the same revision.
Fault not fixed: replace, exchange or repair the A06B-0752-B304-NUM-3000?
Replacing from stock is the fastest route when a machine is down. Van Haelen supplies the A06B-0752-B304-NUM-3000 refurbished: tested to this family's test protocol, with a test report per serial number, with a 24-month warranty. The current lead time is shown with the condition on this page. Prefer an exchange: you get a refurbished unit straight away and return the faulty one within 14 days. Repairing your own unit is also possible: diagnosis, then a fixed price.
What information should I send for a quick diagnosis?
A photo of the rating plate (order number, product version, firmware), the exact fault code or LED state, when the fault occurs (at power-up, on enable, under load) and what you have already tried. For PLCs an export of the diagnostic buffer, for drives the parameter set. With that we can usually say the same day whether replacing, exchanging or repairing is best.
