Also written as: EVS9323ES
The Lenze EVS9323-ES is the 9300 series servo inverter with 1.5 kW and degree of protection IP20. The servo inverter controls speed, torque and position of a servo motor based on the commands of a higher-level controller. The Lenze 9300 series comprises servo inverters, position controllers, cam profilers and frequency inverters for control cabinet mounting; an identical type replaces a defective unit without changing the machine. According to the product data the type is phasing out; no successor is specified. When replacing, switch off the mains and wait for the DC link discharge time, mount the unit in the same place, connect the mains, motor and control cables to the same terminals, transfer the parameter set of the old unit and after switching on check the operation.

Faults and fixes EVS9323-ES
Problems with EVS9323-ES: OC1, OC5, OU, LU or OH
On Lenze 8200, 9300 and smd OC1 is a short circuit on the motor side, OC2 an earth fault, OC5 the I×t overload, OU DC-link overvoltage (decelerating too fast), LU undervoltage (mains gone or sagging) and OH heat sink overtemperature; OH3 is the motor PTC. If OC1 appears immediately on enable without a motor, the output stage is defective.
What do I check when replacing a EVS9323-ES?
Read out the parameter set with Global Drive Control or the keypad and note the function module (standard I/O, INTERBUS, PROFIBUS, system bus); it defines how the drive sits in the installation. Rating, voltage and software version must match the set. On 9300 servo drives check the resolver or encoder setting and the motor data before enabling.
Fault not fixed: replace, exchange or repair the EVS9323-ES?
Replacing from stock is the fastest route when a machine is down. Van Haelen supplies the EVS9323-ES refurbished (tested, with a test report per serial number) or new in factory packaging, with a 24-month warranty. The current lead time is shown with the condition on this page. Prefer an exchange: you get a refurbished unit straight away and return the faulty one within 14 days. Repairing your own unit is also possible: diagnosis, then a fixed price.
What information should I send for a quick diagnosis?
A photo of the rating plate (order number, product version, firmware), the exact fault code or LED state, when the fault occurs (at power-up, on enable, under load) and what you have already tried. For PLCs an export of the diagnostic buffer, for drives the parameter set. With that we can usually say the same day whether replacing, exchanging or repairing is best.
